With embedded how-to pictures, controls with range definition, valuable hints, and other features, operators not only report the process’s execution but have better guidance to make it right. That naturally reduces the number of mistakes and provides a build-in quality.
Binary files might be a trap
The creation of Excel or Word Template files to be filled in directly on the PC by the operators is a common way of handling the paper report issues.
With the organized and structured Excel files, the natural ambition is to build the analyses based on them. The files are stored in a shared location and next aggregated using a combination of remote sources and VBA scripts. That approach works for some time, and you won’t even recognize when it evolved into a corporate system on Excel. As its construction becomes more and more fragile, only a few (or even one) employees are approved to modify its core formulas.
Over time the system slows down, and additional issues appear. Changing anything like adding new data fields becomes more and more difficult. Additionally, the ‘system engineers’ don’t have time to support it anymore or have already left the company. We have seen this scenario too many times 🙂
Use the system wherever you need it
We fully understand that the system which supports the processes’ execution should be with the employees wherever they work – during the visual inspections, performing step-by-step actions, or taking photos of product defects.

Manage the Processes with the Workflow
Only a part of your production processes reports require a single employee. Most of them will require either cooperation of employees, or just confirmation from quality services or supervisor.
Using the Managed Workflow you can define completion rules and possible report status transitions to ideally reflect your procedures. System will not only drive you, but you will also always know, what are the pending items at any moment.
Make seamless updates with the Version Control
We always want to support factories’ Agility. As the processes should improve continuously or adapt to new requirements, the digital version has to follow.
The Version Control support gives you the smooth release of updated Report Templates without the fear of losing the previous results.
Draft Versions lets the users iteratively work on the new Template of the process app without affecting the version already released and being used on Production. Once the work is finished and approved, users can activate a new version of the process app with a single click.
Make a Digital Logbook with the Context
The Context feature transforms the processes reports from the generic portion of data provided by the employees at a specific time into much more. When Equipment, Item, Team, Production Order, or other elements are pinned as a context for the process, the system can easily and naturally create its logbook for each context element and not only.
The Context gives the system the analytical power – to analyze the trends in the specific context (e.g., number of defects for orders on product ‘X’ done on machine ‘Y’) or to look for and find the correlations even across the data taken from different processes.
Review, Analyze, Download, Share and more
You can always review and analyze the process’s results online.
If you, however, need to perform some external analysis, you can always export the data to CSV, JSON, or Excel files.
Using our REST API, you can always integrate our solution with your corporate analytical tools like Power BI, Tableau, or others.
Integrate and Automate with a little piece of Code
If you want to integrate the Report with Master or Process data – that is great! Using a small portion of code with a bit of knowledge about JavaScript, you can make your reports much smarter. You will be able to preload the choice lists, preload and fill the data automatically, or enable/disable form controls based on previous choices – you can save a lot of employess’ time.
